Council of Governors

The Council of Governors are elected by staff and the public, or nominated by partner organisations like a Primary Care Trust.

They attend four formal Council meetings annually, representing their local communities. They work together with the ROH to advise and influence developments as a NHS Foundation Trust.

The Council of Governors also have a series of active sub-groups that work closely with members of the Trust Board on a series of key strategic themes throughout the year.

Our Governors have some key roles: -

  • The appointment of the new Chairman and Non- Executive Directors
  • The appointment of auditors
  • Approval of the Trust’s Annual Plan
  • Holding the Board to account

The Council of Governors have no legal responsibility for the operation of the Trust.

You can contact the Governors by emailing roh-tr.Governor@nhs.net
