Volunteers at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital provide an invaluable service to the Trust. From welcoming to clerical support the volunteers enhance staff, patient and visitors care in a significant way. All of our volunteers join us for various reasons, to give something back to the community, gain experience or just to socialise. whatever your reasons maybe, we welcome you with open arms.
We are extremely proud to have over 200 volunteers at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. Since 2008 the Trust have been developing new roles around the hospital and working hard at opening doors to those who would normally be excluded from volunteering such as young people under the age of 18 and those with disabilities.
You can volunteer in a variety of different ways:
- Greeter & Escort
- Ward Visiting Service
- Clerical/ Admin Support
- Patient Survey Team
- Ward Helpers
To say thank you to all our volunteers at the ROH we host two events a year, a Summer Tea Party and Winter Gathering. These parties are to allow volunteers to enjoy the day and let the staff spoil them.
We are currently recruiting for Simulated Patients
