Arranging Accommodation for Relatives

The Trust has some accommodation available for relatives/carers on site, but this is subject to availability and the Trust cannot guarantee that a room will be available. When demand is high relatives may be issued one room per patient to allow the facility to be offered to other relatives/carers in a similar position.

The hospital residential accommodation offers standard twin rooms and one family room. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities and a washbasin.

The guest lounge, kitchen and toilet/bathroom facilities are shared with other relatives/carers staying in the accommodation.

The hospital’s residential accommodation is suitable for families with babies, toddlers or children (defined as people under the age of 16), however under no circumstances will babies, toddlers or children be allowed to reside in the hospital’s residential accommodation alone, even during the daytime whilst the parent/carer is undergoing treatment or visiting in the hospital.

The hospital will not be responsible for payment of any accommodation bill incurred by patients/carers or relatives occupying in the hospital residential accommodation.

Under no circumstances will animals be accommodated.

The Trust operates a no smoking policy and wishes to advise all visitors that smoking is not permitted inside any of the Trusts’ buildings; we have three designated smoking shelters on the hospital grounds.
