Approximately 65,000 people in England break their hips and struggle to recover from their injury. One in five patients will develop complications.
Have you or a family member broken their hip and had to have the hip fixed? We are supporting a clinical study for a new therapy that could really help patients. We’re interested in talking to patients and careers about their experiences. This will help us design of the study so that it meets the needs of patients.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who have had either experienced a broken hip and undergone surgery. We would also like to speak with relatives or carers who have had experience of dealing with a loved one who has undergone this type of surgery.
Your experiences will help us design and review information for a clinical study looking at a drug therapy that has the potential to significantly reduce the complication rates following this type of surgery.
We want to make it easy for you to get involved. There will be a chance to take part in a focus group to chat about your experiences. Your feedback will help improve NHS services for people just like you.
