Please be aware that with effect from Wednesday 1st March 2017, the Oncology Service at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital no longer accepts fax referrals.

This email address uses secure NHS net protocols, making it safe to send patient sensitive information and you will receive an automated response confirming receipt of your referral.

Failure to include a completed form or correct information may result in a delay.

GPs should continue to use the Choose & Book system (e-referrals) for urgent two week wait patients. (The email process above is for tertiary and non-urgent referrals).

Spinal Oncology Referral

Thank you for your referral to the Oncology Service, Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. 

Please note the following T&C’s if your referral results in an “opinion only” discussion at our Multi-Disciplinary Meeting:

• Referrals discussed at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Oncology MDT Meeting resulting in an opinion only will incur a fixed charge to the referring Trust.
• Post-MDT opinion discussion, the referring Trust will be contacted for a PO number and invoice raised.
• Prior to your referral, please ensure that your Finance Department have adequate measures in place for a PO number to be issued.
• An invoice will be raised to cover the MDT team charges and dispatched to your Finance Department as soon as possible post-discussion.
