Biography

Mr Meda is the Lead Orthopaedic Consultant in the Foot and Ankle Unit at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

He gained his specialist training at the Royal college of Surgeons, University of Liverpool and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Mr Meda underwent expert specialty training as a Fellow in foot and ankle surgery with the internationally renowned surgeon Mr Cooke, president of British Foot and Ankle Society, in Nuffield Orthopaedic centre, Oxford. He has received further specialist foot and ankle training in Chicago, Houston, Bordeaux and Amsterdam.

Mr Meda works in a multidisciplinary setup involving Orthopaedic surgeons, Plastic surgeons, Radiologists, Pathologists, Orthotists, Physiotherapists to give a comprehensive management for his patients.

He is involved in teaching and research at the Trust. He regularly teaches medical students, nurses and physiotherapists. A senior Specialist Registrar and an International Fellow are also trained under him throughout the year before they become fellow consultants. Mr Meda is involved in various research projects; he has presented a substantial number of papers at regional, national and International society meetings.
