Professor Davis is a Clinical Director for Research and Development at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.

He qualified at Birmingham University in 1996. He gained his specialist training in the West Midlands and in Toronto, Canada and began working at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust in year. 

Professor Davis specialises in the management of patients with hip and knee problems that require surgical replacement. He is an expert in the use and development of computer navigation which improves the precision in which these operations can be performed. Professor Davis also an expert in revision hip and knee replacement. He sees patients with worn-out or painful hip and knee replacements and use a number of different procedures including the latest techniques and materials to restore patients function.

Professor Davis is actively involved in education and is the Senior Clinical Lecturer and Senior Clinical Examiner at The University of Birmingham. He currently hold the title of Head of Academy at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital co-ordinating all undergraduate medical education. He is also the module lead for orthopaedics at the University of Birmingham.
