Paediatric orthopaedics (children’s surgery)

The Paediatric Orthopaedic department at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for children and adolescents. We treat a very wide variety of orthopaedic disorders in children including:

  • Club feet
  • Hip disorders
  • Cerebral palsy
  • A wide variety of congenital orthopaedic disorders
  • Upper limb conditions

We accept referrals for older children and adolescents, children below the age of 5 are usually treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital

The consultants who make up our specialist paediatric team have a variety of special interests including:

  • Congenital hip dysplasia and dislocation
  • Perthes disease
  • Slipped upper femoral epiphysis
