Advice for visitors

Visiting times

1pm - 5pm

6pm - 8pm

  • Visiting is limited to 2 people at any time (including anyone accompanying the patient)
  • If you are unwell, or have any COVID or cough and cold symptoms, you should not visit the hospital.
  • Children are discouraged to visit. If you do visit with young children, please ensure they remain with you at all times.
  • If you need to visit outside of visiting times, please speak to the ward manager or nurse in charge.

Please note face coverings must be worn in clinical areas, this includes wards.

Advice for patients who require a visitor to accompany them

Patients may be accompanied where appropriate and necessary to assist with the patient’s communication and/or to meet the patient’s health or social care needs. This includes:

  • parents to children and young people
  • carers
  • supporters
  • personal assistants

Letters for loved ones

If you are unable to visit to visit, don't worry, we can still help your loved one receive a message of support and encouragement.

All you need to do is email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the patient’s name, DOB and the ward number they are on. Your message will then be printed by our Patient Experience team and given to the patient.

Your confidentiality is very important to us. Your letter will be kept confidential and when received, it will be printed and delivered the next working day. In line with GDPR we will not store your email address or contact you unless there is a problem in identifying the patient or delivering the letter. Your email address will be deleted after we have passed on your letter.
