Deliveries to the hospital

In order to ensure deliveries to the hospital are efficient, please read the information below and, if you have a question, contact the relevant department prior to your visit.
 
  • General deliveries

    General deliveries to the hospital should be made through Gate A. After you have parked, or pulled up to the loading bay, please deliver to the general stores.
  • Pharmaceutical deliveries

    Pharmaceutical deliveries to the hospital should be made through Gate A. After you have parked, please deliver to the door marked ‘Pharmaceutical Deliveries’.
  • Catering deliveries

    Catering deliveries to the hospital should be made through Gate A. After you have parked, please deliver to the door marked ‘Catering Deliveries’.
  • Returning Therapy Equipment

    Each piece of therapy equipment should have a sticker or label attached to it. This will inform you where it should be returned to when you have finished using it.
  • Other deliveries and services

    If you make regular small deliveries or provide paid for, or non-paid for goods and services to the hospital, please use parking facilities at Gate C.

Visitors for meetings

If you are attending a meeting at the hospital in general the meeting organiser will provide directions on where to come when arriving at the hospital.
 
A general guide is if you are coming to Trust HQ use Gate A.  If you are coming to our knowledge hub or outpatients use Gate C.

Some useful information about parking is below:

Parking information

Car parking is available for patients and visitors to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHSFT however at peak times the car parks can become congested and spaces are limited. The pay and display pay stations accept both credit/debit cards payment and the following coins: £2, £1, 50p, 20p and 10p. Please obtain a ticket before you leave your car and ensure that it is clearly displayed on you dash board or window. (The pay machines do not accept notes - there is a change machine available opposite the entrance to the X-ray Department). A parking attendant is available from 7am – 6.30pm, Monday – Friday, based in Gate C car park.

Up to 24 hours                  £7.50

A 20 minutes drop off facility is available free of charge. Please obtain a free ticket from the pay and display machine and display in your vehicle.

Blue badge holder charges

Patient parking charge concessions – Weekly Tickets

Reduced car park fees are available for patients in certain circumstances which may require regular or long term visits. Please pick up a form from the ward or department you are visiting or from the welcome desk situated at the main entrance to the Outpatients Department.  The cost is £17.50 per week. Please note, weekly tickets cannot be purchased in advance.

Ward 3 patients can apply for a separate weekly ticket costing £10.
