Ward 3

Ward 3 in an orthopaedic oncology unit. Two of our rooms are kindly provided by the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).

We kindly ask that only one family member is nominated to call us and relay messages.  This makes it easier to communicate with your family and close friends and it makes it easier for us to give you clear and up-to-date information.  It also allows nursing staff to provide a consistent level of care to our patients.

Visiting hours

10am to 8pm.

We kindly ask that visitors avoid mealtimes (lunch at 12noon – 1pm and dinner at 5pm – 6pm).  If you are visiting during meal times, you may be asked to leave the ward until meal time is complete.

Overnight Stay

Unfortunately, we have no facility to allow you to stay with your relative overnight. If you need to make arrangements, please contact our PALS team for advice: 0121 685 4128.

Advice for visitors

If you plan on visiting Ward 3 but you are unwell with cough, cold, flu, diarrhoea or vomiting symptoms, please stay at home.  This limits the spread of potential infections to vulnerable people in the hospital. We also ask that visitors do not bring flowers with them.  Flowers and stale vase water pose a significant infection risk, so regrettably we cannot allow them on to the ward.

If you plan to bring a child under age three to visit a patient on Ward 3, please contact us before arriving.
