The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to provide work experience placements to students enabling them to enhance their knowledge and gain insight into the work and careers that are offered through employment within the NHS. We support the widening participation and talent for care agendas to promote and expand access to healthcare careers and subsequent progress within the NHS.
We recognise that to become an employer of choice and to ensure that young people are encouraged into future healthcare careers it must provide appropriate placement opportunities.
The Trust receives a significant number of requests to accommodate students from schools, colleges and universities on work experience placements across the various departments.
Below is some information about the types of placement we can offer:
3-day structured programme – age 14 - 16
The aim of this 3- day structured programme is to give students an insight into the different types of work carried out at this Trust and across the NHS. It is designed to be fun but informative so students leave with a clearer vision of a potential career path.
