Birmingham City boss, Karren Brady, visited recently to meet with young cancer patients who the club are helping this season.
The Blues are fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust, the charity which helps young people fight cancer, as part of their “Keep Right On” charity initiative.
Karren was joined by representatives, Tim Murphy and Julia Wilde, from the club’s supporters, IP Global, based in Hong Kong.
As part of the visit, Karren was shown around the area which the club’s fundraising will help. City’s campaign will raise money to help develop state of the art facilities at the hospital. The new day room for patients will have a comfy sofa, wide screen TV, pool table and juke box. It will be used by teenagers and young people from across the Midlands and parts of Northern England, who have been diagnosed with and are receiving treatment for bone cancers.
