The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital employs around 900 staff. Staff turnover is very low, and many of our staff have been with us for a number of years.
The Improving Working lives assessment team commented that ‘the widespread dedication to patient care is a credit to the Trust and will further augment their record of excellence’.
The Trust was particularly commended for the work around the recognition of all staff and the schemes the Trust has in place for this. These include long service awards, staff bonus, newsletter and the Trust’s ‘Celebration of Excellence‘ day. The Trust was awarded Investor in People recognition in 2005.
The Trust has a Childcare Co-ordinator, one of eight covering the Birmingham and Black Country Workforce Development areas.
